The course is recommended forstudents age 10 and up and teaches the basics of first-year theory (rhythm,meter and pitch) in a fun and engaging way. Before going on to the nextlevel, each student must take an online test to ensure mastery of the materialpreviously learned.ADULT CHAMBER MUSICChamber music (one instrument to a part) offers instrumentalists ofintermediate and advanced levels an opportunity to play together in anintimate setting. Each ensemble is coached by one of Third Street’soutstanding faculty, who will match student levels and assign appropriaterepertoire. Chamber groups are scheduled according to players’ andinstructors’ availability. Groups that are already organized are welcome tojoin this program.Tuition includes weekly 45-minute coaching sessions and 45 minutesof independent rehearsal. Students are also encouraged to participate inthe Adult Performance Workshop.ADULT PERFORMANCE WORKSHOPAdult Performance Workshops are recitals, heldevery few weeks, to provide opportunities for bothperformance and social interaction. Adult studentsat all levels are encouraged to participate.
