And what is very importantis that these positive responses and initiatives should be bettercommunicated to the property sector and the general public.What I don’t want to see is the growth of anti-business sentimentswhich ultimately drive out some good operators. InHong Kong, when the economy is good, it creates employmentand helps people. When the economy is down, businesses suffer,and the first among the public to suffer will be the grassrootspeople. That is why we are all in the same boat. That iswhy I think it is important that the public clearly understandshow the different dynamics interact.Today, particularly among politicians, people are engrossedwith their own little internal struggles to get votes. Everyonewants a bigger share of what government is prepared to dishout. So their sights have been turned inward and they don’tsee the broader picture.
