Residences are located on both sides of the railline. The closest residence to the east is at a similar level to the proposed substation with thoseon the other side of Brentwood Avenue being elevated above the site particularly houses alongthe northern end of Brentwood Avenue. Most are single storey but due to the topography areelevated above natural surface level facing the substation.The residents on the other side of the rail line along Winton Street are single storey and arelower than that rail line, such that there would be significant shielding provided by the railcorridor to noise emissions from the proposed substation. In addition, the retaining wall thatwill be constructed along the western boundary of the substation will also provide someshielding.2.2 Works to be UndertakenThe site will be excavated to level the area prior to construction of the proposed building.The stages of the construction will include Site Establishment – Establishment of site, delivery of plant such as site crane, skid steerloader, site dumpers and piling rig. Initial Excavation & Construction – Initial piling related to construction of retaining walls,initial excavation and detailed excavation; Construction of retaining wall, installation of
