—. Afocal optics assemblyPower Supply. IR detectorsFigure 6-16 is a simplified block diagram of areceiver-converter BITE system. The BITE signalsgo to a BITE logic module in the power supply-videoconverter WRA. In this WRA, they are combined andsent to the IRDSC to light the various indicators.POWER SUPPLY-VIDEO CONVERTERASSEMBLYFunctionally, the power supply-video converterassembly breaks down into three subsystems. Thesesubsystems are the power supply, the videoprocessing, and the BITE system. The power supply subsystem is a typical powersupply. It filters aircraft power for use by thereceiver-converter assembly. It also develops all theoperating voltages for both the receiver-converter andthe power supply-video converter circuits.Video ProcessingThe video processing subsystem generates thesynchronizing drive and timing signals for thereceiver-converter. It also converts the TV cameravideo from the receiver-converter assembly into acomposite video format. This format consists ofcamera video and receiver position information forpresentation on the video indicator.Figure 6-16.-Receiver-converter BITE block diagram.6-14
