CAUTIONBefore applying external power, thetechnician must ensure that all armamentswitches are in their proper position. Ifthey are not, the technician must notify theappropriate person(s). Failure to do socould result in injury or death to personnelor damage to the aircraft/weapon systems.ACM Switch.— This switch is a cam-type switchthat is activated when the switch guard is moved up toselect the ACM encounter mode. The normal missilemode is automatically selected.ACM JETT Switch.— This switch is apush-button switch located under the ACM switchguard. When the switch is pressed, the stores on thestations that are selected on the armament panel arejettisoned.HOT TRIG (Trigger) Warning IndicatorLight.— This warning indicator lamp lights to notifythe pilot that missiles are ready for launching, the gunis ready to fire, or the weapons selected are ready forrelease or firing.Weapon Status Indicators.— These indicatorsindicate weapon status when the landing gear handleis in the UP position. These indicators are labeled 1A,1B, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8B, and 8A. They correspond to theweapon stations on the aircraft. There are threeindications possible:1. White indication—Weapon station is readyand weapon is loaded.2. Checkerboard indication—Weapon station isloaded, ready, and selected. Only one weapon statusindicator is checkerboard at any one time.3. Black indication—Weapon station has noweapon loaded, or the weapon is not ready.ARMAMENT CONTROL INDICATORPANEL.— The armament control indicator panel(fig. 7-2) is located in the aft cockpit console andcontains the following selector switches: attackmode; weapon type; electric fuze; delivery mode andoptions; station select; missile options; missile speedgate; and select jettison, tank jettison, and jettisonoptions.DISPLAYS CONTROL PANEL.— The displayscontrol panel (fig. 7-3) is located in the forwardcockpit right vertical console.
