shared by both azimuth and elevation drive signals. The following discussion will refer to that module asthe azimuth mode logic module or the elevation modelogic module, as appropriate.Power SupplyThe power supply is a typical power supply. Itfilters aircraft power and develops all of the operatingvoltages for the control servomechanism assemblyand the TTSC assembly circuits.Azimuth Drive SubsystemFigure 6-21 is a simplified block diagram of atypical azimuth drive subsystem used in a controlservomechanism assembly. The azimuth mode logicmodule receives one of four operational commandsfrom the IRDSC. These mode commands are foreither the position, the forward (FWD), the manualtrack, or the computer track modes. The operatorselects the mode on the IRDSC.POSITION MODE.— The position modecommand signal is processed by the mode logicmodule, which sends a position (POS) commandsignal to the azimuth position compensation module. This module processes the signal, enabling it toreceive azimuth position (LOS) information from theIRDSC azimuth control. It outputs position loopcommand and gimbal angle signals to the azimuthrate compensation module. The azimuth ratecompensation module sends an azimuth drive signalto the azimuth heat sink module.
