Make sure that the shoulderbelt crosses the shoulder.To remove and store the comfort guides, just perform thesesteps in reverse order. Squeeze the belt edges together sothat you can take them out from the guides. Pull the guideupward to expose its storage clip, and then slide the guideonto the clip. Rotate the guide and clip inward and inbetween the seatback and the interior body, leaving onlythe loop of elastic cord exposed.Smaller children and babies should always berestrained in a child or infant restraint. Theinstructions for the restraint will say whether it isthe right type and size for your child. A veryyoung child’s hip bones are so small that aregular belt might not stay low on the hips, as itshould. Instead, the belt will likely be over thechild’s abdomen. In a crash, the belt would applyforce right on the child’s abdomen, which couldcause serious or fatal injuries. So, be sure thatany child small enough for one is always properlyrestrained in a child or infant restraint.-31
