Security FeedbackThis provides feedback to the driver when the vehiclereceives a command from the key transmitter. Thefollowing modes may be selected:Mode012345Security FeedbackNo feedback when locking orunlocking vehicle.No feedback when locking;exterior lamps flash whenunlocking vehicle.Exterior lamps flash whenlocking; no feedback whenunlocking vehicle.Exterior lamps flash when lockingand when unlocking vehicle.Exterior lamps flash and hornchirps when locking; no feedbackwhen unlocking vehicle.Exterior lamps flash and horn chlrpswhen locking; exterior lamps flashwhen unlocking vehicle.Vehicles are delivered programmed in Mode 5. Tochange to another mode:1. Press and hold the power door lock switch.2. Press the opened trunk button on the transmitter. Thetransmitter will remain in its current mode.3. Press the opened trunk button again. Each time theopened trunk button is pressed, the transmitter willadvance to the next mode.4. Release the power door lock switch.Delayed LockingNote: This feature is available only if you request yourdealer to activate this option. After initial activation,you can turn this feature on and off by using thefollowing procedure.This feature lets the driver delay the actual locking ofthe vehicle. When the power door lock switch is pressedwith the key removed from the ignition and the driver’sdoor open, a chime will sound three times to signalthat the lock delay mode is active. When all doorshave been closed, the doors will lock automatically afterfive seconds. If any door is opened before this, thefive-second timer will reset itself once all the doors havebeen closed again.
