To replace the battery:1.2.3.4.5.Insert a coin into the notch near the keyring. Turn thecoin counterclockwise to separate the two halves ofthe transmitter.Once the transmitter is separated, use a pencil toremove the old battery. Do not use a metal object.Remove and replace the battery as the instructionsunder the cover indicate.Be sure not to touch any of the black boxes or thegreen surfaces. Any static transferred from yourbody to these areas may cause the transmitter tobe inoperative.Snap the transmitter back together tightly to be sureno moisture can enter.Resynchronize the transmitter by pressing andholding the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons for abouteight seconds within range of the vehicle. Once thetransmitter is resynchronized, the horn will chirp andthe exterior lamps will flash once.TrunkTrunk Lock ReleaseTo unlock the trunk from the outside, insert the door keyand turn it.Remote Trunk ReleasePress the TRUNK releasebutton located to the left ofthe steering column torelease the trunk lid.The remote trunk release lockout switch located in theglove box must be in the on position and the transaxle inPARK (P) or NEUTRAL (N) for this feature to work.
