The ignition keys arefor the ignition only.The door keys are for thedoors and all other locks.When a new Park Avenue is delivered, the dealerremoves the plugs from the keys, and gives them to thefirst owner. However, if the ignition key does not have aplug, there may be a bar-coded key tag instead.Each plug has a code on it that tells your dealer or aqualified locksmith how to make extra keys. Keep theplugs in a safe place. If you lose your keys, you’ll beable to have new ones made easily using these plugs orthe tag. If your ignition keys don’t have plugs, go toyour Buick dealer for the correct key code if you need anew ignition key.NOTICE:Your Buick has a number of features that canhelp prevent theft. But you can have a lot oftrouble getting into your vehicle if you ever lockyour keys inside. You may even have to damageyour vehicle to get in. So be sure you haveextra keys.
