It does follow 27-year old tradition of Medical School Universityof Zagreb having six-months and one-year Fellowship program Ultrasound in Obstetricsand Gynecology. The same curriculum has been introduced in 2007 in Doha,Qatar and was supported by Cornell Medical University and three leaders of the coursehave been ASIM KURJAK, BADRELDEEN AHMED and FRANK CHERVENAK. There were 17 candidatesfrom Qatar, Dubai, Oman and Bahrain who successfully completed one-yearfull-time study and received diploma of Master of Ultrasound and Specialist of Ultrasoundin Obstetrics and Gynecology. Many top speakers took part in this Fellowshipprogram, just to mention some names: EBERHARD MERZ, YVES VILLE, GUILLERMAZUMENDI, NEREA MAIZ, RITSUKO POOH, MILAN STANOJEVIC, RATKO MATIJEVIC, GIAN CARLO DIRENZO, VELJKO VLAISAVLJEVIC, etc.Another Fellowship program with the similar curriculum has been organized with Universityof Medical Sciences & Technology of Khartoum, Sudan where top speakersselected by Donald School authorities have been running one-year full-time trainingprogram. There are 10 students at this year and we managed to have permanent trainerin Khartoum sent by us from capable specialist trained in Zagreb.A Fellowship program of the similar curriculum is in the progress in Dubai and wehave similar request from Donald School in Abu Dhabi.Furthermore, students from Fellowship programs in Zagreb and Doha have been regularlysent for hands-on training in Malaga (Dr. G. AZUMENDI) and in Osaka (Dr. R. POOH).Significant portion of theoretical and practical work is done in Hamad Medical Corporationhospital in Doha, Qatar. There is an idea to introduce European PhD programfrom Zagreb University. There are already four candidates from Doha.
