The Greek school organizes a course on advanced ultrasound in obstetricsand gynecology every two years:– The «1st Advanced Course <strong>of</strong> Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology» took placeon February 22 and 23, 2003, in Athens with 22 speakers and 280 participants.– The «2nd Advanced Course <strong>of</strong> Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology» took placeon December 3 and 4, 2005 in Athens with 29 speakers, 230 participants and100 subscribers to the Yellow Journal.– The «3rd Advanced Course <strong>of</strong> Ultrasoundin Obstetrics and Gynecology» took placeon December 8 and 9, 2007 in Athenswith 31 speakers, 250 participants and70 subscribers to the Yellow Journal.The next conference is planned for December2009.Athens.Aris J. In 1981, hedefended his PhD thesis «Fetoscopy andfetal blood sampling for prenatal diagnosisin twins» at University <strong>of</strong> Athens. In 1977,Dr. ANTSAKLIS was appointed senior registrar<strong>of</strong> Obstetrics and Gynecology. In1982, he was as an assistant Pr<strong>of</strong>essor<strong>of</strong> Obstetrics and Gynecology and DeputyDirector <strong>of</strong> Maternal Fetal MedicineDi vision <strong>of</strong> the 1 st Department <strong>of</strong> Obs -tetrics and Gynecology at the Universi -ty <strong>of</strong> Athens. In 1993, Dr. ANTSAKLIS wasappointed associate Pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> Obstetricsand Gynecology and Deputy Director<strong>of</strong> Maternal Fetal Medicine.
