He presided over ten International Symposiaand ran more than 100 courses on Perinatal Medi cine. In addition, he chairedthe 6 th Spanish Congress of Perinatal Medicine (Bar celona, 1984) and the 5 th WorldCongress of Perinatal Medicine (Barcelona, 2001), amongst others. His publicationsinclude 42 books, 102 book chapters and 232 scientific articles published in nationaland international journals alike.
