A cruel reminder of maternal mortality Agra, since 1992 is also knownfor hosting yearly Ob/Gyn Ultrasound Courses. The first ever Indian course on TransvaginalUltrasound was held in Agra in the early 1990 by then Prof. M. Y. RAWAL andDr. PRATAP KUMAR and organized by Dr. NARENDRA MALHOTRA. In 2003, the Ian DonaldSchool recognized the Indian branch of the school and first Ian Donald.Diploma Course was held on 15, 16 & 17 August 2003. Since 2003, Agra has beenhosting and conducting the Ian Donald Ob/Gyn Ultrasound Courses each year. In 2004the Course was held on 20, 21 & 22 August 2004. Prof. KURJAK and Prof. KUPESIC werea part of this course. In 2005: TheCourse was held again in the monthof August and Prof. ASIM KURJAKfrom Croatia was the faculty. In2006 The course was combinedwith the WAPM Conference andover 20 international faculty werea part of this wonderful course.In 2007 a Live Interventional oneday Ian Donald Course was heldat Apollo Hos pital, Agra.
