<strong>Don</strong> <strong>Field</strong> <strong>Decommissioning</strong> <strong>Programme</strong>DON-<strong>BP</strong>-0011 IntroductionOnce all facilities have been removed, post-decommissioning subsea clearance surveysand oilfield debris clearance will be carried out to ensure that the seabed is clear ofobstructions that might affect fishing activities or other users of the sea.Results of the debris clearance surveys and the seabed clearance certificates will besubmitted to the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC).2 Subsea Clearance SurveysOnce all decommissioning activities are complete, seabed clearance surveys will becarried out.The areas covered by the surveys will be the area within the 500m zone around the <strong>Don</strong><strong>Field</strong> subsea facilities and a 100m corridor either side of each pipeline.3 Debris ClearanceAny non-consented oilfield-related debris that could interfere with other users of the seawill be removed.The results of the debris clearance shall be independently verified.4 ReferencesNone.Debris ClearanceMay 2011 16-1/2
