LABS aspirant placed at Spencers Daily, Trivandrum<br />

development. The implementation of<br />

these programs is carried out through<br />

various partner organizations. We work<br />

primarily in the areas of education,<br />

livelihood and health. The key<br />

programs are described below:<br />

Education<br />

Our education initiatives focus on<br />

enhancing the quality of education. These<br />

initiatives are implemented through the<br />

Dr. Reddy’s Foundation and include:<br />

Pudami Neighborhood Schools and<br />

English Primaries aim to make available<br />

quality English medium education to<br />

children from underprivileged sections.<br />

Four secondary and 25 Pudami primary<br />

schools are educating over 11,000<br />

students. Kallam Anji Reddy Vidyalaya<br />

(KARV), a model Pudami School caters<br />

to 1,600 students.<br />

Kallam Anji Reddy Vocational Junior<br />

College (KAR-VJR) trains tenth<br />

class pass-out students in two-year<br />

vocational courses. Every year it trains<br />

nearly 500 students.<br />

School Improvement Program (SIP)<br />

in government schools focuses on<br />

12,000 students in 27 schools across<br />

five districts of Andhra Pradesh and<br />

Telangana. It helps the schools in<br />

remedial learning, computers skills,<br />

spoken English, basic amenities, safe<br />

water and sanitation. SIP also provides<br />

scholarships for meritorious students to<br />

pursue higher education.<br />

Livelihoods<br />

Our livelihood programs, implemented<br />

through Dr. Reddy’s Foundation, focus on<br />

making the Indian youth employable and<br />

enhance their earning potential.<br />

LABS: Livelihood Advancement<br />

Business School (LABS) program<br />

is developed for youth between<br />

18 and 30 years, who have limited<br />

opportunities and inadequate skill<br />

sets. LABS equips them with jobspecific<br />

skills, soft skills, basic English,<br />

computer skill and placement linkages.<br />

In FY2015, we trained 7,128 young<br />

people through our supported centers.<br />

LABS-PwD: LABS-People with<br />

Disabilities (PwD) program is a<br />

placement-linked program for<br />

differently-abled youth, between 18<br />

and 30 years. In FY2015, we trained<br />

904 differently-abled youth from our<br />

supported centers.<br />
