Wayne Brothers provideda turnkey site andconcrete scope for thenew Boral ManufacturingPlant. Part of thisscope was a tank ringfoundation, as shown inthe picture. The projectteam used a field builtgates system to meet thespecs and tight geometryon the ring foundation.WBI’s Civil group needed to lime treat over 40,000 cys of dirt ona project to meet the job’s structural fill requirements. Since thedirt was treated in place in 8 to 12 inch lifts, it was imperative tonot take more or less than was treated on each lift. In this picturethe crew is using the GPS machine control dozer to grade each liftto within a few hundredths tolerance while the excavator loads thetreated dirt on an off road truck.Wayne Brothers Civil Group laid 90 linearfeet of 72 inch corrugated metal pipe, inorder to provide access across a deep ditchand allow ten feet of fill to be placed. Oncethe fill was placed, Ductilcrete paving wasinstalled as the entrance to WBI’s newheadquarters.71
