CH2M HILL FIELD SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS<br />
These Field Safety Instructions (FSI) will be kept onsite during field activities and will be reviewed<br />
as necessary. The FSI will be amended or revised as project activities or conditions change or when<br />
supplemental information becomes available. The FSI adopts, by reference, the Standards of<br />
Practice (SOPs) in the CH2M HILL Corporate Health and Safety Program, Program and Training<br />
Manual, as appropriate. In addition, these FSI may adopt procedures from the project Work Plan.<br />
The Designated Safety Coordinator (DSC) is to be familiar with these SOPs and the content of these<br />
instructions. CH2M HILL’s personnel and subcontractors must sign Attachment 1.<br />

SITE DESCRIPTION AND HISTORY: This is a Capital Improvement Program, with a total cost<br />
to the Client of $1.2B to be completed by December 2014 under a DOE Consent Decree. This project<br />
consists of design and construction on 26 rehabilitation projects, 57 capacity improvement projects<br />
and four wastewater treatment improvement/storage projects. For further information, refer to the<br />

DESCRIPTION OF SPECIFIC TASKS TO BE PERFORMED BY CH2M HILL: CH2M HILL will<br />
be conducting field investigations (at pump stations and neighborhoods for the rehab of lines) and<br />
conducting progress meetings with consultants. This will entail a lot of windshield surveys, and<br />
some tours on the ground for visualization. Also during design activities, there will be meetings<br />
with the design consultants.<br />
