Safe Guarding Children
Safeguarding Children is the top priority within RCJFC. We have a responsibility to ensure that
children have the chance to enjoy football in a supportive and child centred and friendly
environment.
Everyone involved in football must recognise that the responsibility to safeguard exists both on
and off the field of play.
RCJFC believes football can have a powerful positive influence on children and young people. That
means everyone involved in the Club/Team must take on the responsibility of looking after those
children who want to play the game.
Safeguarding Children is about doing things the right way; doing things properly. It’s about
allowing children to enjoy the game without abuse of any kind. That means bullying, physical,
emotional or sexual abuse and neglect.
