Respect<br />

The FA and <strong>RC</strong>JFC Respect and Code of Conducts shall be enforced at all times. Additionally prior<br />

to the start of the match, the teams and participating officials shall conduct the ‘Respect’<br />

handshake and offer three cheers and handshakes to the opposing team after the match.<br />

Team Captain<br />

A Team Captain is to be designated and wear a captain’s armband. It is generally recommended<br />

at U11 and below team captain is shared around the team and all players enjoy at least one game<br />

as the team captain. As players get older a more regular and consistent captain maybe required.<br />

Referee<br />

The referee has overall responsibility for the match, no manager or spectator may influence or<br />

interfere with the game or its result.<br />

A qualified referee should be used at all times wherever possible.<br />

It is the Team <strong>Managers</strong> responsibility to source a Ref for each home game. Exceptions to this are<br />

as follows:<br />

U16s referee will be organised by the TFJFL Referee Secretary<br />

Semi and Cup Final referees will be organised by the TFJFL Referee Secretary<br />

The Club Referee Secretary has contact details of Referees qualified to officiate Junior Football<br />

and Mini-Soccer and those affiliated to <strong>RC</strong>JFC.<br />

Teams may establish their own referee from either the pool of parents or own Management<br />

Team. Anyone officiating as a Referee are to referee in an unbiased manner and not direct or<br />

manage their own team whilst in that role.<br />

It is recommended that all persons acting as a Referee are to be qualified with the respective<br />

Course:<br />

● Mini-Soccer Referee Course (5v5 and 7v7)<br />

● Basic Referee Course (All age groups)<br />

Referee Fees<br />

It is up to the referee if they will charge for their services and any associated expenses.<br />

Teams are to pay for referees from team funds on the day of the match.<br />

Referee fees are dependent on which age group and the referee themselves. Below is a<br />

guideline for fees as set out by TFJFL. If you have a league appointed referee please pay<br />

the league specified fee for your league and age group.<br />
