The applicant is to provide their FAN* in the Personal Reference Number field provided.<br />

*please go to http://www.thefa.com/FAN to register with the FA and receive a FAN<br />

number.<br />

Once registered the applicant can then login using the above organisation PIN, the<br />

applicants email address and password created as part of the registration process and<br />

commence the online CRB application. The applicant will be asked for their National<br />

Insurance, Passport and Driving Licence numbers so please ensure these are at hand.<br />

2. Verification<br />

Once online application is complete, the applicant is to then contact a CWO to have the<br />

documents used verified.<br />

3. Payment<br />

The applicant is to log back in to TMG to complete payment (currently £10 which can be<br />

reimbursed by the Club – a receipt is to be printed out and provided to the Treasurer)<br />

The application will not be progressed unless payment is made<br />

Upon payment background checks are conducted and once complete, the CRB will issue<br />

the applicant with a copy of the CRB Disclosure.<br />

4. Notification<br />

The applicant receives a certificate of the C<strong>RC</strong> check.<br />

The applicant is to notify the CWO the certificate has arrived.<br />

Use of CRB Enhanced Disclosure information by The FA<br />

By completing an online CRB Enhanced Disclosure application the applicant is allowing<br />

The FA to have sight of any criminal record or non-conviction information that is held and<br />

released by the Police via the CRB process. This information may include outstanding<br />

prosecutions and relevant allegations of criminal behaviour. In line with the CRB Code of<br />

Practice, The FA may disclose this information to those involved in making a suitability<br />

decision. The FA may use any or all of this information to help decide on the applicant’s<br />

suitability to be involved with children or vulnerable adults in football.<br />

Is it secure?<br />

Yes. The Online Service is tested, approved, audited and used by several government<br />

departments. Information security management: UKAS accredited, ISO 27001:2005.<br />
