Friendly Matches
Organised at a local level between teams generally during “free weekends” of the league
season or pre-season over the summer.
Tournament Matches
Tournament matches are generally short matches and run as a round robin between
participating teams. The format and length is controlled by the hosting Club.
Tournaments are covered elsewhere within this manual.
Entry is via application to the respective organising Organisation.
There are a number of online sources that list Junior Tournaments, the most popular is

Publicising Results
It is against FA rules to publically publish results of non-competitive games. This includes the Club
Website, facebook and twitterfeed; the rule also applies to personal social media.
Organising Matches
All home games are to be played at Stirchley Recreation Centre unless previously agreed
otherwise with the Club Committee.
Most TYJFL matches are played Sunday mornings (10 – 12:30) and this is accepted as the general
rule, however there are times and circumstances when this is not possible, therefore it’s
important to liaise with the opposing teams Manager if you wish to arrange an afternoon kick off
for either a home or an away match prior to arrangement being confirmed.
Team Manager contact details are posted on the TYJFL website and the Club Secretary will need
to be advised if team contact details change so that the league can be advised.
Home Matches
Pitches are paid for by RCJFC but only for League and Cup matches. Any friendly matches
arranged the team are to bear the costs of the pitch hire in full themselves.
If playing a home match, it is the home team Managers responsibility to arrange:

The Club has a facebook page to book pitches, this will generally be set up prior to the
start of the season and you will need to contact the club fixtures secretary to arrange an
invite into the page.
