Risk Assessment<br />
Training<br />
As with all activities, a suitable dynamic risk assessment should be conducted for each<br />
training session which will be based upon:<br />

Prevailing weather conditions<br />
Ground conditions<br />
Players fitness (Individual and as a group)<br />
Training Equipment<br />
Where it is assessed that the conditions present a risk, then the training should not be<br />
conducted or should be adapted to mitigate any risks.<br />
All training equipment should be examined before use for suitability and safety, no<br />
equipment should be used that is either damaged or could cause harm to a child<br />
additionally training equipment should be used in a way that will not cause harm or<br />
injury.<br />
Goals<br />
Goals usually are the most significant risk and are to be anchored and set up in a way to<br />
prevent injury and are to be checked prior to use. A more detailed guide is included<br />
within this <strong>Manual</strong>.<br />
Training Sessions<br />
Coaches should plan each session. To assist Coaches there is a training plan template within this<br />
manual.<br />
To assist club coaches <strong>RC</strong>JFC has purchased the FA Grassroots Future Game <strong>Manual</strong>s.<br />
These are held by the Club Secretary and can be loaned to Coaches on a short time basis.<br />
