Equality and Equal Opportunities
OUR COMMITMENT is to confront and eliminate discrimination whether by reason of age, gender,
sexual orientation, marital status, race, nationality, ethnic origin, colour, religion or belief, ability
or disability and to encourage equal opportunities at all stages and levels.
We have established a Policy to ensure that everyone is treated fairly and with respect and that
our club is equally accessible to all.
Anti-Bullying
OUR COMMITMENT is to provide a caring, friendly and safe environment for all of our members
so they can participate in football in a relaxed and secure atmosphere. Bullying of any kind is
unacceptable at our club. If bullying does occur, all club members or parents should be able to tell
and know that incidents will be dealt with promptly and effectively. We are a TELLING club. This
means that anyone who knows that bullying is happening is expected to tell the club welfare
officer or any committee member.
We have established a Policy and Procedure which sets out the requirements for identification,
handling and resolving bullying.
Neglect
The FA Child Protection Procedures and Practices definition of neglect includes situations in which:
●
●
●
A child’s basic physical needs (e.g. for food, warm clothing) are not met.
Children are consistently left alone and unsupervised.
In the football environment, neglect might also occur if a coach or manager fails to
ensure children or young people are safe, or exposes them to undue extremes of
weather or risk of injury, e.g. through unsafe equipment.
Risk Assessment
At all stages of team management, assessment must be conducted on any actual or potential risks
and prevent or rectify any hazard to prevent harm to any person or child that maybe affected by
the teams activities..
The Club evaluates at a higher level the risks associated with Managers / coaches through CRC
and ongoing evaluation of performance.
Feedback is provided to managers on any risks associated with pitch conditions, weather and any
other aspects which may have a negative effect upon players.
