ENGINEERING/LEGOS
FUNDAMENTALS: Learn how to design and build motorized
machines, houses, pyramids, bridges, catapults, buildings and other
constructions. GREEN ENGINEERING: Design and build machines
powered by alternative energy sources. Race solar cars, build a windpowered
electrical generation facility, and more. PRE-ENGINEERING:
Create, Play, and Learn. Build a town, city, or star base with houses,
buildings, pyramids, bridges, tunnels, towers, and more. Build motorized
cars, trains, buses, and trucks; race them; crash them; repair them.
Instructor: Play-Well TEKnologies staff.
THE MODEL RACE CAR PROGRAM
This special summer program will allow each student enrolled to
build and keep their own radio control model race car. Students
will each design and spray paint two race car bodies, then build and
tune their cars before learning how to race them. Materials Fee of
$325 is payable to instructor at first class. Program offered by
Student Racing Partners: www.student-racing.com. No class
Friday, July 4th.

2D VIDEO GAME DESIGN
For the 2D video Game Design camp campers will be using
Multimedia Fusion 2.00(MMF) to design and create a realistic
looking game. In this camp students will learn to create their own
multi level game and understand how the game design process
works, complete with characters, levels, health counters, and lives.
Students will also take their game home on a CD, and will receive
instructions on how to download the demo version of the software
so they can continue working on their game when they get home.
Material Fee: $55 (Due on the first day of the camp)

3D VIDEO GAME DESIGN
This is the camp to transform your gaming idea into an actual 3D
game complete with 3D landscape and models. Campers will learn
to create rooms, add details and work in Photoshop to add textures.
At the end they will learn to add advanced features like player
behavior, special effects, artificial intelligence, breakable glass, and
more. It is recommended that young campers finish 2D Game
Design Class camp prior to joining this camp. At the end of the camp
kids take home their game on CD.

ROBOTICS ENGINEERING
Children participating in our Robotics workshops are guided
through a hands-on experience, where they learn to build robots
using the LEGO Mindstorms Construction System 2.0. With gears,
pulleys, beams, axels, and many more building elements, kids learn
to create mechanical masterpieces. When kids add sensors, motors,
and a Robotic Command Explorer (RCX), their masterpiece
responds to their command and its environment. No prior experience
in programming is necessary. Material Fee: $35 (Due on the
first day of the camp)

ROBOTICS ENGINEERING I
Campers will be using the LEGO NXT Robotics system to design,
build and program their robot from scratch. Campers will learn to
build structurally sound robots and design multiple robots. They
will learn the use of different sensors and will learn to incorporate
them in their robots. They will write multiple programs for their
robots in order to complete challenges. At the end of the camp kids
take home all the pictures and tournament video on a CD. Material
Fee: $35 (Due on the first day of the camp)

ROBOTICS ENGINEERING II
In Robotics II campers will be using Robolab for NXT programming
along with NXT Programming System. After the campers
have mastered the NXT Robotics System they will move on to VEX
Robotics. Students will work in teams throughout the course and
participate in friendly challenges through out the camp. It is recommended
that younger campers finish Robotics I before joining
this camp. Material Fee: $55 (Due on the first day of the camp)
