easier than you think! This class takes you through the process of
getting the right equipment for your destination, while avoiding
common pitfalls of the tourist photographer. You can shoot the
scenes and the natives like a pro if you learn the tricks: Planning
your trip, getting control of the lighting, using the right lens,
knowing what to do in difficult situations, and much more.

PHOTOGRAPHY OF
SMALL OBJECTS
If you need to produce professional photos of jewelry,
antiques, glassware, collectables, 3D artwork or other
small objects, this is the class for you – especially if you’re
an eBay seller! In this class we discuss and demonstrate the

equipment and techniques needed to shoot anything smaller than
a breadbox. Macro photography and home studio design will be

PHOTOGRAPHY-INTERMEDIATE
PORTRAITURE
Taking top quality portraits is easy and fun! This class New!
teaches you to produce professional people pictures using
the same techniques the pros use in the studio and on location.
Students will learn how to acquire and use reasonably
priced lighting equipment to build a temporary home studio and a
location shooting kit. Various lighting styles and shooting situations
will be demonstrated. Students will get basic assignments during
the first two meetings and show their results in class. If you’ve ever
wanted to take pictures for weddings, families, newspapers or books,
this class is essential. Take your photography to a new level. This
is the follow up course to Getting Great Portraits” and Basic
Portraiture” offered by Jeffery Luhn. If you haven’t taken either

YOUTH PROGRAMS
SEWING -ADVANCED
TECHNIQUES
Students who are taking this class should have completed the previous
Sewing Basics Level I class or should have basic sewing skills
and be familiar with using a sewing machine and understanding
patterns. Sewing machines are provided, however, it is beneficial to
learn on your own machine. This is a ‘ skills building’ class, weekly
attendance is very important, there is no makeup for missed classes.
Students 12 and older may enroll if accompanied by an adult who
is present at each class to assist the student with their project. A $10
lab fee will be due the second day of class payable to the instructor.
The first class meeting will be from 6:30-8:30PM at a local fabric
store, usually Hancock Fabric on Blossom Hill Road. E-mail
Feather at ftippetts@equineperformance.com for confirmation
of the store location at least two days before class. Students will
be assisted in choosing the fabric and supplies for one or two projects
to complete in the class. Classes 2-6 will be from 6:30-9:00PM
at LGHS Kitchen #100. NO CLASS: 7/31.
Instructor: Feather Tippetts. is a historical costumer who has
created costumes for movie, television, theatre and private clients.
She draws on her extensive experience to teach students modern
sewing techniques and professional shortcuts used in the garment
industry.

WATERCOLOR PAINTING
DURING THE DAY-ALL LEVELS
The focus of this watercolor class is to help you enjoy the painting
process in a warm and supportive atmosphere. Whether you are a
beginner or someone who wants to improve their skills, this class is for
you.Valerie will cover topics such as color, value, design principles and
more. There will be a lot of individualized instruction along with lectures
and demonstrations. A materials list will be printed on your registration
receipt,faxed upon request or found on our web site,

Parking passes will be handed out at the first class. Please bring
painting supplies to first class.Drop-in option: $20 per class meeting.

WATERCOLOR PAINTING IN THE
EVENING-ALL LEVELS
The focus of this evening watercolor class will be on improving your
current skills for those who have some experience or, if you are just
beginning, learning basic watercolor techniques. Jolene works with
each person’s individual preferences and goals. You will learn to plan
your composition, and then paint in your own personal style. Jolene
has a fun, relaxed teaching style that makes your painting experience
enjoyable and stress free. Students 14 and older may register if
accompanied by an adult. Approximate cost for materials for class
is $75. Materials list will be printed on the registration receipt,
