CAMPS<br />
ROCK CLIMBING CAMP<br />
This 5 session camp serves as an introduction to the great sport of<br />
rock climbing <strong>and</strong> designed so participants climb with children of<br />
their own age. Camp ratio is maximum 5 children to 1 instructor.<br />
Age groups are 5-8 <strong>and</strong> 9-13. Parent must attend first class to sign<br />
release paperwork; child may not participate without it! Parent<br />
signing the waiver who is not accompanying the participant must<br />
submit a copy of their driver’s license. Price includes a Planet<br />
Granite T-shirt! Camp will be held at the new Planet Granite<br />
Sunnyvale location at 815 Stewart Dr. Please check the website at<br />

SOCCER I, II, III CAMP A & B<br />
CAMP A: participants will learn basic <strong>and</strong> advanced techniques of<br />
soccer; <strong>and</strong> compete in an age-appropriate world cup” tournament.<br />
Dribbling, passing <strong>and</strong> receiving, heading, <strong>and</strong> shooting will be presented<br />
to 8 year old <strong>and</strong> younger players; advanced dribbling moves,<br />
tactical team aspects i.e. possession, combination play, the goal as<br />
a unit will be taught to players 9 years <strong>and</strong> above. CAMP B: participants<br />
play soccer in the morning; water activities may be introduced<br />
in the afternoon. Soccer videos <strong>and</strong> board games will be<br />
introduced. A full soccer match will be played as the last event of<br />
each day. PLEASE NOTE: Each camper will receive a soccer ball, T-<br />
shirt <strong>and</strong> participation award. Participants should bring water<br />
bottles, hat <strong>and</strong> sunscreen.<br />

SPORTS CAMP<br />
The Los Gatos/Saratoga Sports Camp is committed to teaching children<br />
Kindergarten <strong>through</strong> grade 7 proper techniques of different<br />
sports <strong>and</strong> recreational games. Good sportsmanship <strong>and</strong> value of<br />
teamwork are given top priority. We encourage boys <strong>and</strong> girls of<br />
any athletic ability to join us <strong>and</strong> meet new friends. Team sports<br />
include softball, basketball, volleyball, recreational games <strong>and</strong> films.<br />
Each camper will receive a T-shirt, refreshments <strong>and</strong> participation<br />
award. Grades 1-7 camps (9:00 AM-3:30 PM) include one half day<br />
of swimming (parental transportation arranged). Campers are<br />
required to bring hat, sunscreen <strong>and</strong> a lunch; snack will be provided.<br />
Grade level is as of Fall 2007.<br />

T-BALL CAMP<br />
This spirited camp is designed to further your child’s interest in T-<br />
Ball. Participants will learn proper techniques of hitting, base<br />
running, throwing <strong>and</strong> catching. Plenty<br />
of positive reinforcement <strong>and</strong><br />
encouragement will be<br />
provided. This camp will<br />
be a <strong>fun</strong>, safe learning environment<br />
for your child.<br />

water bottle, hat <strong>and</strong><br />

❂ SPORTS CAMPS<br />
TENNIS CAMP<br />
Summer Ralleyball Camps are designed to be beginner friendly <strong>and</strong><br />
engage young children in participating in tennis as a team sport,<br />
while having <strong>fun</strong> with their friends <strong>and</strong> learning basic skills. By<br />
using NEW progression tennis balls <strong>and</strong> a games-based approach<br />
to learning, your child will be able to rally the ball in the first hour<br />
of the first class! The camp format includes station rotation where<br />
campers will be exposed to a variety of tennis skills <strong>and</strong> <strong>fun</strong> games.<br />
Campers will be placed on teams <strong>and</strong> play for team of the week <strong>and</strong><br />
camper of the week. A strong emphasis will be placed on attitude,<br />
effort <strong>and</strong> sportsmanship. Participants must provide their own<br />
racket, tennis shoes, snack, water bottle, hat <strong>and</strong> sunscreen. Rules<br />
<strong>and</strong> conduct expectation will be discussed the first day of camp;<br />
participants who do not follow rules may be asked to withdraw.<br />
T-shirt, balls <strong>and</strong> contest awards will be provided.<br />

VOLLEYBALL CAMP - INT./ADV.<br />
This camp will give participants the opportunity to improve skills<br />
<strong>and</strong> learn new ones. It is designed for those who want to learn <strong>and</strong><br />
practice the individual <strong>and</strong> team skills involved in volleyball. Players<br />
will be taught the correct way to serve, pass, set, hit, block <strong>and</strong> dig<br />
the ball. Participants will practice these skills with <strong>fun</strong> drill <strong>and</strong><br />
game situations. Each camper will receive a T-shirt, <strong>and</strong> are encouraged<br />
to bring water bottles. Camp will be conducted at Fisher<br />
Middle School Gym. Volleyball camp instructor: Tom Jack,<br />
former LGHS Boys Volleyball coach.<br />
Instructor: Tom Jack. has over 15 years of coaching experience,<br />
including 7 years as LGHS Boys Volleyball Coach, over 15 years of<br />
teaching adult volleyball classes, <strong>and</strong> 14 years of conducting youth<br />
summer volleyball camps; along with collegiate <strong>and</strong> high school staff<br />
VOLLEYBALL CAMP - INT.<br />
This camp is designed for participants that have played on a school<br />
or club team, <strong>and</strong> can demonstrate good skills, form, technique,<br />
offensive <strong>and</strong> defensive positioning, <strong>and</strong> strategies along with structured<br />
team play. Friday will be free game play day both 2 on 2, <strong>and</strong><br />
6 on 6 where coaches will work one on one with students to help<br />
them with on individual goals. Each camper will receive a camp T-<br />
shirt; camp will be held at Fisher Middle School gym. Volleyball<br />

Instructor: Volleyball Camp Instructors. for ages 9-15 Beg/Int/Adv<br />
will be Joe & Barbara Maguire, Fisher Middle School Boys <strong>and</strong> Girls<br />
Volleyball Coaches for the past 7 years <strong>and</strong> have 10 years extensive<br />
camp coaching; along with collegiate <strong>and</strong> high school staff.<br />
VOLLEYBALL CAMP I,<br />
BEG/ADV. BEG<br />
Beginner/Advanced Beginner <strong>fun</strong> program is one hour long<br />
Monday-Friday for campers who have none or limited volleyball<br />
experience. This 5-day camp will focus on the basics <strong>and</strong> <strong>fun</strong>damentals<br />
of volleyball technique, rules <strong>and</strong> sportsmanship.<br />
Lightweight balls will be used to achieve success on the court. Fun<br />
is stressed with this group <strong>and</strong> games are a mix of regular <strong>and</strong> creative<br />
play. Each camper will receive a camp T-shirt; camp will be<br />
held at Fisher Middle School gym. Participants are encouraged to<br />
