ADULT EDUCATION<br />

Adults have priority for enrollment in all adult education programs.<br />

There are no residency requirements for Adult Education series. Adults are 18 years <strong>and</strong> older.<br />

Social Enhancement<br />

Join us on Wednesdays at the Los Gatos Neighborhood Center for relevant <strong>and</strong> innovative programs<br />

of interest to YOU! The 55+ Program, for adults 55 years of age <strong>and</strong> older, mixes a variety of social<br />

activities such as cards, other table games, lunches <strong>and</strong> entertainment plus informational talks that:<br />

• explore senior issues from a local perspective <strong>and</strong> provide opportunities for community involvement,<br />

• enhance lifelong learning,<br />

• provide information to help maintain personal independence <strong>and</strong> survival skills, as well as economic<br />

self-sufficiency.<br />

Membership in The 55+ Program is $12 a year, payable upon joining <strong>and</strong> each January thereafter. As a<br />

member you’ll receive a monthly calendar of events, a discount on field trips, <strong>and</strong> updates on services,<br />

activities, <strong>and</strong> classes for adults 55 <strong>and</strong> over. The 55+ Program sponsors card <strong>and</strong> table games each<br />

Wednesday in a warm <strong>and</strong> friendly atmosphere. Let us know, in advance, if you would like to join a game<br />

table <strong>and</strong> we will arrange an opportunity for you to participate <strong>and</strong> make new friends. Refreshments are<br />

available for our 55+ Program members. To arrange for a card table or game table, call (408) 354-2360<br />

on Wednesdays, 8:30 AM-2:30 PM or leave a phone message. Live Oak Nutrition Center joins with the<br />

Senior Program each Wednesday<br />

<strong>and</strong> delicious lunches are available<br />

($2.00 donation requested).<br />

many local programs to advocate<br />

for issues affecting adults 55 years<br />
