EZ COMP COMPUTER CLASSES
BEGINNING INTERNET AND E-MAIL SERVICES: You’ll learn
how to Send and Receive E-Mail, Attach, Save and Find
Downloaded files and connect to web sites. Learn to use Google and
Yahoo effectively, setup favorite places and discuss the different connection
methods: Modem, DSL and Broadband. A $20 lab fee is
payable to the instructor at the class.
HANDS ON BEGINNING POWERPOINT: While sitting at a provided
computer with another student, you’ll learn how to design and
enhance your presentations with slide masters and templates using
PowerPoint. We’ll begin working with presentation designs, learn
how to edit the background layout, apply word art, animate features,
insert clip art and sound effects. A $20 lab fee is collected in class.
HANDS ON DIGITAL PHOTO AND SCANNER: Using a provided
computer and scanner you’ll learn the principles and practices of
how to use PhotoShop Elements to manage and edit your photos.
No matter what equipment or photo software you have, the concepts
you learn will allow you to create and preserve great photos.
Lab fee of $30 for a manual is payable to instructor at first class.
HANDS ON MICROSOFT EXCEL: Learn how to create and edit
spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel. You’ll learn shortcuts to enter
and edit data, simple and complex formulas, formatting text and
numbers, sort lists, work with columns, rows and multiple worksheets,
creating charts, and printing spreadsheets. A $20 lab fee is
payable to the instructor in class.
EZ-HANDS ON MICROSOFT WORD: As you’re sitting at a provided
computer with another student, you’ll learn how to create and
print Envelopes, various Labels, Business Cards and how to setup a
Mail Merge. You’ll create a customized name and address list and
merge the list to print onto personalized letters, labels and
envelopes. Lab fee of $20 collected the class.
HANDS-ON BEGINNING COMPUTER: Need a start on computer
skills? As you’re sitting at a provided computer with another
student we’ll discuss the different parts of the computer, get familiar
with the mouse and keyboard and how to navigate Windows. You’ll
learn word-processing using Microsoft Word and how to create
spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel. A $30 lab fee for a manual is
payable to Lynn Pesonen at the first class.
MICROSOFT WINDOWS: Learn how to navigate Windows beginning
with the Start Menu and Desktop. You’ll organize your personal
files by learning how to create and manage Folders, move and
delete files and how to copy files externally to a CD or removable
drive. Lab fee of $20 collected the class.

FINANCIAL PLANNING,
THE BIG PICTURE
Ensuring one’s financial future – through knowledge and action!
This class teaches how to examine one’s current financial position
and set financial goals. The class will cover how to accumulate
wealth, basic investment concepts, and how to make sure one’s ‘eggs’
are not all in one basket - asset allocation, retirement planning, protecting
yourself and your loved ones, and the basics of preserving
your wealth and passing it on. Class is co-sponsored with the City
of Saratoga Recreation Department. Fee is per couple.

FINANCIAL WORKSHOP FOR
WOMEN INVESTORS
Women live longer than men, women are the fastest growing
segment of the work force, and 90% of women will be making their
own financial decisions at some point in their lives. This class will
cover accumulating wealth, preserving wealth and passing on
wealth. We will discuss setting realistic financial goals, making wise
financial decisions, and avoiding unexpected financial risks. This
class is an easy way for women to learn how to save, invest, and take
charge of their financial future. An $8.50 material fee is payable to
instructor at the first class.

INSIDER SECRETS OF
MORTGAGE LENDING
If you’re ever going to need a mortgage loan, you’ll want to take this
class. Did you know that there is a wholesale and retail mortgage
rate? Would you like to make sure that you’re paying the wholesale
rate? What we discuss in this one session class will provide you with
information that will enable you to negotiate savings in the thousands
of dollars. Participants will also examine how to use low
interest rate programs to build a real estate portfolio. Fee is per
