ADULT 55+ ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS ❂<br />
SIZZLING SENIORS<br />
REGISTER IN CLASS: This dynamic non-impact aerobic class<br />
encourages the active senior to develop cardiovascular/ respiratory<br />
conditioning with endurance, along with muscular balance,<br />
strength, flexibility <strong>and</strong> coordination. Participants exercise to a<br />
variety of music, performing various simple to complex combinations<br />
<strong>and</strong>/or routines, learning to be aware of how their body segments<br />
are interrelated <strong>and</strong> move. Please wear comfortable clothing<br />
with supportive (tennis) shoes, <strong>and</strong> bring a mat, rug or towel for<br />
floor work. Drop-ins are welcome. Class fee for 50 + years $30 per<br />
month; $15 one-half month; <strong>and</strong> $2.50 drop in. Younger than 50<br />
years $42 per month; $21 one-half month; <strong>and</strong> $5 drop in. REG-<br />

STRONG BONES<br />
Scientific data validates that weight bearing exercise increases bone<br />
density. In this class you will move <strong>and</strong> exercise in positions that<br />
emphasize putting weight <strong>through</strong> your bones. You will practice<br />
lengthening <strong>and</strong> straightening your spine. Unlike exercises that pain<br />
<strong>and</strong> strain we teach relaxed, pain-free exercising.You will learn how<br />
to transfer these exercise principles to everyday-life activities. Drop<br />
in option, $12 per class, payable to the instructor.<br />
Instructor: Thea Sawyer. teaches yoga therapy <strong>and</strong> Balance (a.k.a.<br />
Aplomb), a French technique for improving body mechanics <strong>and</strong><br />
posture. Thea is certified by the Aplomb Institute in Paris, France,<br />
<strong>and</strong> is a California certified yoga teacher.<br />
TAI CHI FOR LIFE-BEGINNING<br />
Learn new ways to RELAX, REVITALIZE, <strong>and</strong> HAVE FUN. Tai Chi<br />
is flowing, gentle, <strong>and</strong> slow movement. It helps with balance,<br />
strength, <strong>and</strong> mental focus. STANDING MASSAGE included. Dress<br />
comfortably. Drop in option, $13 per class, payable to instructor,<br />

beginner or someone who wants to improve their skills, this class is<br />
for you. Valerie will cover topics such as color, value, design principles<br />
<strong>and</strong> more. There will be a lot of individualized instruction<br />
along with lectures <strong>and</strong> demonstrations. A materials list will be<br />
printed on your registration receipt,faxed upon request or found<br />
