Ordu Valiliği’nin kayak sporuna
ve Çambaşı Kayak Merkezine yönelik
projeleri var mı?
Çambaşı Kayak Merkezi’nin yapımına
başlanmasıyla birlikte Ordu’da kayak
sporuna olan ilgi her geçen gün
artmaktadır. Kayak sporunu yaygınlaştırmak
ve geliştirmek amacıyla spor kulüpleri
kurulmuş ve bu spor kulüplerince kayak
sporuna ilgi duyanlara yönelik eğitim
faaliyetleri verilmektedir. Bu kış sezonunda
Türkiye Kayak Federasyonunca, Türkiye’nin
değişik illerinden gelen kayak antrenörleri
ve milli kayak sporcularının katılımıyla
Çambaşı Kayak Merkezi’nde bazı aktiviteler
gerçekleştirildi. Öte yandan yörenin
tanıtımına katkı sağlamak ve kış sporlarını
geliştirmek amacıyla, her yıl “Kar Şenliği”
düzenlenmektedir. Farklı etkinlik ve
aktivitelerin yer aldığı Kar Şenliği’nde, kayak
yarışmaları da düzenlenmektedir. Ordu
Valiliği olarak, Ordu’da kayak sporunun
gelişmesi ve yaygınlaşması için yapılan
tüm çalışmalara gerekli desteği vermekte
ve katkıyı sağlamaktayız. Çambaşı Kayak
Merkezi, yakın bir gelecekte kış sporları için
cazibe merkezi haline gelecektir. Şimdiden
turizm yatırımcılarımız Çambaşı Kayak
Merkezi’nin bulunduğu bölgeye yakın
yerlere konaklama tesisi ve turistik amaçlı
işletme yapabilmek için arazi arayışı içine
girmişlerdir.
Ordu Valiliği’nin turizm faaliyetleri
nelerdir?
Ordu, turizm potansiyeli oldukça yüksek
olan bir ildir. Fakat bu potansiyel bugüne
kadar tam manasıyla değerlendirilememiş.
Ordu, bu yönden bakir kalmış bir şehir.
Ordu’nun var olan turizm potansiyelinin
ortaya çıkarılıp, tanıtılması ve
pazarlanmasına ihtiyaç duyulmaktaydı.
Ben de Ordu’da göreve başladığımda
öncelikle tüm ilçeleri, beldeleri ve hatta
köyleri gezerek, Ordu’nun turizm alanında
değerlendirilebilecek ne gibi değerleri
var bunların bir tespitini yaptım. Gördüm
ki, Ordu’nun her yönüyle çok zengin
bir turizm potansiyeli ve enstrümanı var.
Bu potansiyeli değerlendirmek için işe
tanıtımdan başladık. Tanıtım faaliyetlerine
önem verdik. Bunun için öncelikle ulusal
televizyon kanallarında yayınlanan önemli
programların çekimlerinin ilimizde
yapılmasını sağladık. Turizm sektörüne
yönelik dergilerde Ordu’nun geniş
bir şekilde tanıtımını yaptık. Ulusal ve
uluslararası turizm fuarlarına katılarak,
Ordu’yu tüm dünyaya tanıtmanın çabası
içinde olduk. Bir proje kapsamında,
önümüzdeki haftalarda körfez ülkelerindeki
önemli medya kuruluşlarının temsilcilerini
ilimizde ağırlayacağız. Körfez ülkelerindeki
Arap turistlerin dikkatini Ordu’ya
çekebilmek için bu tanıtım faaliyetlerimizi
sürdüreceğiz. Öte yandan, Ordu’da
eko-turizm her geçen gün gelişmektedir.
Otantik yapısını koruyan bazı köylerimizde
eko-turizm yaygınlaşmaktadır. Ekoturizm
yapılan köylerimize dünyanın
değişik ülkelerinden turistler gelmektedir.
Her gelen turist gördüklerine hayran
kalmaktadır.
Ordu coğrafyası gereği trekking,
yamaç paraşütü, rafting gibi ekstrem
sporları yapmaya müsait bir şehir. Bu
dallarda projeleriniz var mı?
Ordu, coğrafi yapısı gereği her türlü doğa
sporunu yapmaya müsaittir. Dünya’da
şehrin üzerinden yamaç paraşütü yapılan
ender yerlerden birisidir. Şehrin terası
konumundaki 510 rakımlı Boztepe
yamaç paraşütçülerinin gözdesi haline
gelmiştir. Türkiye’nin değişik illerden çok
sayıda yamaç paraşütü sporcusu Ordu’ya
gelmekte ve doyumsuz bir manzara
eşliğinde atlayışlarını yapmaktadır. Dere
ve ırmak vadileri ile yaylalarda belirlenen
rota üzerinde oldukça keyifli ve maceralı
trekking yapabilmek mümkündür. Off Road
sporu için Ordu’da özel olarak hazırlanmış
parkurlar vardır. Ordu, Off Road sevenlerin
vazgeçemeyeceği bir yerdir. Ordu, özel
avlaklarıyla sportif avcılık alanında da cazip
fırsat ve imkanlar sunmaktadır.

istediğiniz bir şey var mı?
Türkiye’nin vizyon ve prestij projelerinden
birisi Ordu’da gerçekleşmektedir.
Türkiye’nin ve Avrupa’nın ilk ve tek
deniz üzerine inşa edilen havalimanı
olma özelliğini taşıyan Ordu-Giresun
Havalimanı projesi tamamlanmak üzeredir.
Bu proje, Ordu’nun ekonomik, sosyal
ve kültürel yönden gelişimine önemli
katkılar sağlayacaktır. Ordu’ya olan ulaşımı
kolaylaştıracak ve turizm hareketliliğine
ivme kazandıracaktır. Ordu-Giresun
Havalimanı projesinin yanında, diğer
önemli ulaşım projelerimiz olan Karadeniz-
Akdeniz yolu projesi, Ordu Çevre yolu
projesi, Ünye-Akkuş-Niksar yolu projesi
tamamlandığında Ordu’ya ulaşım daha
kolay hale gelecektir. Tüm bunların yanında,
Türkiye’nin 4’üncü, Karadeniz Bölgesinin
ilk Botanik Parkı’nın yapımı hızla devam
etmektedir. Yine Karadeniz Bölgesi’nin ilk
ve tek Çikolata Park projesinin yapımına
bu yıl içinde, Ordu-Giresun Havalimanı’nın
hemen batısında başlanacaktır. Tüm bu
projelerin tamamlanmasıyla birlikte Ordu,
çok daha cazip bir il haline gelecektir.

Ordu Çambaşı Ski Resort will be
opened very soon. What would you
like to say about this?
Çambaşı is the largest plateau in Turkey.
Çambaşı Ski Resort is one of the prestigious
projects of Ordu with a broad vision.
Towards the end of 2012 the centre’s
tender was made by Kabadüz District
Governorship Village Services Union and
the construction was started in 2013.
Now Ordu Metropolitan Municipality
is resuming the Project which is on the
point of finishing. It is on 650 decare land
of area, costing approximately 28 million
TL. There will be two separate tracks-
1200 metres and 1100 metres long-, two
separate ski lifts with seats for four people,
one-day facilities, business facilities, a
sport store, tourist information point, ski
school, search and rescue team, health
and first aid, an administrative building, a
technical infrastructure area, a helicopter
pad, a parking lot taking 150 cars, walking
tracks and picnic areas, a guest house
and an ice rink. Çambaşı Ski Centre will
have an important contribution to winter
tourism in Ordu which will be one of the
first five facilities in Turkey. When Çambaşı
Ski Resort is completed it will be the centre
of attraction in the region. Ordu is very
suitable for underwater sports. Turkey
Underwater Sports Federation’s some
planned events and selection camps for
the national team are held in our city with
the support of our Governorship.
Does Ordu Governorship have any
projects for ski sport and Çambaşı Ski
Centre?
In Ordu, the interest in skiing is increasing
day by day because of the construction of
Çambaşı Ski Centre. Ski clubs have been
established to popularise and develop
ski sport. There are training activities for
people who are interested in this sport.
Turkey Ski Federation held some activities
in Çambaşı Ski Centre with the participation
of ski trainers coming from different cities
of Turkey and national skiers. On the other
hand, ‘the Snow Festival’ is organized
every year to contribute to the promotion
of the region and the development of
winter sports. There are ski races at the
‘Snow Festival’ as well as different events
and activities. Ordu Governorship gives
the necessary support and provides a
contribution to develop and spread the
ski sport in Ordu. Çambaşı Ski Centre will
definitely be the centre of attraction in
the near future for winter sports. Tourism
investors are already looking for land to
construct rest areas and touristic based
facilities.
What events and activities does Ordu
Governorship have for tourism?
There is a high potential for tourism in
Ordu. However, this potential could not
be appraised in the strictest sense for a
long time so Ordu remained untouched
in this sense. There was an urgent need to
bring its existing tourism potential forward,
promote and market. When I started
my duty in Ordu, I immediately went to
all districts, towns and even villages to
determine what values there were in the
field of tourism. I realized that Ordu had a
rich tourism potential and instrument. We
began with the introduction to bring the
hidden potential forward. We attached
importance to the promotion activities.
We encouraged national TV channels to
broadcast their important programmes in
our city. We promoted Ordu widely in the
magazines that related to tourism sector.
We did our best to introduce Ordu to the
world at both national and international
tourism fairs. In the forthcoming weeks
we will host the Gulf Countries media
organisations representatives in our city.
We will continue our promotion activities
to draw Arabian tourists’ attention in these
countries. Furthermore, eco-tourism is
developing each passing day in Ordu. Ecotourism
has become widespread in some
villages with their authentic structures.
Many tourists came to these villages from
different countries. Every tourist was
struck with admiration when they saw the
untouched beauty.
Ordu is a prosperous city for extreme
sports such as trekking, paragliding
and rafting. Do you have any projects
in these fields?
Ordu is a convenient place for nature sports
due to its geographical structure. It is one
of the rare places in the world to paraglide.
Boztepe at an altitude of 510 is the terrace
of the city which has become the centre
attention of the paraglide parachutists.
Many parachutists come to Ordu from
different cities of Turkey for paragliding
who do their jumping in company with
the extraordinary view. It is possible to do
trekking through the determined routes of
brooks, rivers, valleys and plateaus. There
are also special tracks for off-road sports in
Ordu. It is a unique place for off-road sports
lovers. Ordu also, presents appealing
opportunities for sportive hunting with its
special hunting grounds.

anything you would like to add?
One of Turkey’s most prestigious projects is
about to take place in Ordu. Ordu-Giresun
Airport Project is about to come to an end
which is Turkey’s and Europe’s first and
only airport established on the sea. This
Project will contribute to the economical,
social and cultural development of Ordu.
The transportation will be convenient
and easy which will mean an accelreation
in tourism. Access to Ordu will become
more practical with the completion of
Ordu-Giresun Airport as well as with our
other transportation projects like Black
Sea-Mediterranean Road Project, Ordu
Beltway Project and Unye-Akkuş-Niksar
Road Project. In addition to all these, the
construction of Turkey’s fourth and Black
Sea’s first botanical park is continuing
expeditiously. And the construction of
Black Sea’s first and only Chocolate Park
Project will start in this year in the western
part of Ordu-Giresun Airport. With the
completion of all of these projects Ordu
will be an attractive city. Finally, we would
like to invite everybody to visit Ordu to
explore more.
