Political Illusions of the Cajun Mafia

This book examines “robust” political corruption in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. The book scrutinizes the transparency, schemes and co-conspirators involved in political corruption. It discusses how top elected officials use their power and public resources funded by local sales and property taxes to improperly target, retaliate and even maliciously prosecute the most ridiculous matters to further their personal agenda. The book examines in detail the types of public infringements involving corruption as well as the vast network of political connections to other various public schemes. The book is further evidence that political corruption in Louisiana is not only profound but more like organized crime controlled by mob bosses. Louisiana no longer will turn a “blind eye” and now demands zero tolerance for corruption and nepotism of elected officials.

The video records request was submitted to KPLC and complied with KPLC policies including
payment of $100. KPLC provided a “doctored” video in response to a video request. KPLC provided the
video requested only after they edited the video to remove the audio in order to conceal DeRosier’s
confession of manipulation. The interview is 2:26 in length but the audio was deleted at 1:40 leaving the
next 46 seconds silent while the video continues of DeRosier talking. Mari Wilson is employed at KPLC
as the Production Manager & Community Affairs Director. Wilson’s job duties are to provide video
requests to consumers. Wilson’s statement was that, “The audio that is on this clip is the audio that aired
in the package, the video you see with no
sound after 1:43 is just pad. (We have to have
some extra video on the end of story so the
director can switch from one story to another
during a live newscast) This is the story in its
entirety.” Wilson statement is false. When
the video first aired on the news it was so
shocking that notes made of the Date, subject
and the statement. Additionally, there are
thousands of witnesses.
By editing the news video even after it was already published on television and the content
contained evidence of fraud and manipulation by DeRosier is at best an ethical violation, violation of
public trust and breach of contract. It may be reviewed by authorities for criminal conspiracy of
corruption, violations of duty to report under the federal crime
reporting statute (Title 18 U.S.C § 4), and duty to inform the public of
corruption in government offices. Federal law requires media to aid in
the prevention of civil, constitutional, and criminal offenses under
Title 42 U.S.C. § 1986. The CPDA indicted Ned for three counts of
violation of a protection order. Indictment has additional
circumstances of misconduct and corruption. Ned alleged the CPDA
in collaboration with Ned’s x-wife went before a grand jury with false
incidents of intimidating a witness which was Ned’s daughter in a
custody matter in order to avoid a preliminary examination hearing.
