An independent auditor’s main role is to ensure the integrity of the auditing process and to avoid
conflicts of interest that may be public appearances of impropriety. Auditors betray society and corrupt
the election process by receiving public funded tax revenues and laundry or convert money into private
funds funneled back into campaign accounts of elected officials that are decision makers of the business
used for the public contract.
It is a conflict of interest at best that the local mainstream press is the largest campaign donor of
the District Attorney and also the official public auditing contractor providing accounting services to
Calcasieu Parish’s District Attorney’ office.
Public servants and administrators of justice are expected to uphold the highest moral and ethical
standards and not to use the position’s powers to erode public trust and compromise the integrity of the
justice system. "A public official who steals from the very people that elected him is one of the worst
types of criminals," said state Attorney General Buddy Caldwell. "It is especially egregious when it is a
trusted member of the law enforcement community. My office will continue to prosecute criminals
regardless of who they are or what position they might hold." Attorney General Buddy Caldwell said.
In April 2015, the FBI launched a campaign to root out public corruption “Public officials who are
entrusted with authority are expected to serve their constituents and communities with integrity and honor.
Greed and self-interest have no place in public service,” John Adams, FBI Special Agent. “The FBI is
uniquely positioned to rude out pubic corruption and we will continue to expose public officials who
undermine the integrity of our government, but we cannot do it alone,”
