Your second request under the Louisiana Public Records Act pertaining to the
"Operation 27" defendants was received on October 13, 2015.
With reference to your request concerning Grand Jury Indictments, these records are
available at a charge of $1 per page. Our office receives no tax dollars; our only
source of income is based on fees for our services. From the information you provided,
we do not see any credentials leading us to waive our fees pertaining to significantly
contributing to the public interest. There are 15 pages of indictments. We could find no
indictment for one of the defendants, Jerrel L. Webb.
We cannot accommodate your second and third requests for the highest and second
highest amount of cases ever presented to a Calcasieu Parish Grand Jury. Grand Jury
proceedings are confidential and cannot be disclosed without a court order.
Regarding your fourth request for copies of any and all correspondence between our
office and the Calcasieu Parish Clerk of Court office, be advised that Assistant District
Attorney Robert Kleinschmidt is counsel for our office. Attached is a copy of the email
correspondence between his office and ours. This also answers your fifth request.
