Political Illusions of the Cajun Mafia

This book examines “robust” political corruption in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. The book scrutinizes the transparency, schemes and co-conspirators involved in political corruption. It discusses how top elected officials use their power and public resources funded by local sales and property taxes to improperly target, retaliate and even maliciously prosecute the most ridiculous matters to further their personal agenda. The book examines in detail the types of public infringements involving corruption as well as the vast network of political connections to other various public schemes. The book is further evidence that political corruption in Louisiana is not only profound but more like organized crime controlled by mob bosses. Louisiana no longer will turn a “blind eye” and now demands zero tolerance for corruption and nepotism of elected officials.

Re: KPLC titles John Derosier "Hometown Hero" to cover up a
I came up with the idea weeks ago after interviewing Joe Hill on another Hero story. I approached
them last Tuesday, and shot the interview Friday to have it ready for my normal air date on
Wednesday of this week.
Again, all my idea.
Now, if you don't mind, that's all the explaining I'm going to do for someone who hides behind an
email address and doesn't even sign a name.
Your response was noted. Thank you!
You mentioned that you approach the DA's office weeks ago with your idea. Did the DA
give you any explanation for waiting until this week to schedule instead of when you
first approached them weeks ago?
It is an excellent idea to have Veterans Court to help Veterans who have been charged with a
non-violent crime. It may mitigate some of the tax payer burden as far as the significant cost
of the criminal justice system. It could provide the opportunity for resources such as law
enforcement, prosecutors, Judges to focus on issues the community deems priority such as
violent crime and child protection. Additionally, it may help prevent Veterans in the
future from being victims of misconduct by the DA by using felony charges to manipulate or
retaliate.
Being you're in journalism in Calcasieu Parish you can understand the need to investigate
anything from the CPDA's office. The attachment is just one example of breach of trust
concerning use of public funds in violation of Louisiana Article 10 section 9 "Prohibitions
Against Political Activities" It even shows total disregard of law after being provided the
law and staff policy the DA staff still choose to violate it the next day. You can see in the
attachment overwhelming evidence that is great public concern.
September 18, 2014- CPDA provided staff the written office police on working on political
campaigns during business hours. CPDA stated that “staff members are not permitted to
work on any campaign during business hours. There is no employee working in a "dual
capacity" as a DA's Office staff member and on a political campaign, as political activities
are restricted to off-duty hours. Moreover, no use of DA's Office equipment, resources, and
offices is permitted for any campaign. To enforce the office policy against use of DA's
Office time, equipment, or resources for political purposes, an email with the written office
