This is a request under <strong>the</strong> Louisiana Public Records Act. Section 44:32(0) <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Louisiana Public<br />

Records Act requires a response within three business days.<br />

I request that a copy <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> following documents [or documents containing <strong>the</strong> following information] be<br />

provided:<br />

a. According to Revised Statute 15:571.11 titled "Dispositions <strong>of</strong> fines and forfeitures," in<br />

regards to bail or jail bonds, please state <strong>the</strong> percentage <strong>of</strong> a bail bond that is collected<br />

by <strong>the</strong> Calcasieu Parish Sherriff's <strong>of</strong>fice?<br />

b. Provide laws or statutes in regards to bond collecting and bond fund distributing<br />

c. Provide or State <strong>the</strong> distribution (or documents containing) <strong>of</strong> bail bond funds collected<br />

in Calcasieu.<br />

In order to help to determine my status to assess fees, you should know that I am an individual<br />

seeking information, and this request is made as part <strong>of</strong> news ga<strong>the</strong>ring and not for commercial use.<br />

I request a waiver <strong>of</strong> all fees for this request. Disclosure <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> requested information to me is in<br />

<strong>the</strong> public interest because it is likely to contribute significantly to public understanding <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> operations<br />

or activities <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> government and is not primarily in my commercial interest.<br />
