There were a range of responses to a question regarding the amount of support students anticipated<br />

they would need throughout their study. The lack of previous exposure to technology (computers),<br />

financial issues <strong>and</strong> help required with study skills rated most highly.<br />

Students were asked to describe what they thought their employment status would be two years<br />

after completing their study with <strong>APTC</strong>. The majority of respondents (twenty-five percent) indicated<br />

they expected to be in a higher position with a different company in a similar industry, highlighting<br />

the importance of acquiring new skills for advancement in the workforce.<br />

Four percent said they would be doing the same job, but in a different industry, <strong>and</strong> six percent<br />

indicated they hoped to be self-employed in a different industry. In total ten percent of respondents<br />

anticipated that training would give them transferrable skills.<br />

When asked how difficult they thought it would be to find employment after <strong>APTC</strong> training, forty-one<br />

percent of students felt that it would be very easy or easy to find a job.<br />
