Training for Partner Institutions<br />

As a new initiative this year, <strong>APTC</strong> has implemented a series of TVET Trainer Masterclasses for<br />

delivery in semester 1 <strong>2017</strong>. Open only to current TVET trainers throughout the Pacific, the<br />

masterclass program combines the Certificate IV in Training <strong>and</strong> Assessment with the delivery of a<br />

trade qualification in the trainer’s industry field of expertise. At the successful completion of all<br />

elements of the course, the TVET trainer will have achieved a Certificate IV in Training <strong>and</strong><br />

Assessment, as well as one of the following internationally accredited qualifications:<br />

› Certificate III in Commercial Cookery<br />

› Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology<br />

› Certificate III in Carpentry<br />

Under <strong>APTC</strong>’s existing commitment to improving the teaching <strong>and</strong> learning practices at partner<br />

institutions, the following partner employees have studied in <strong>APTC</strong> courses in <strong>2016</strong>.<br />
