The Gym: well loved and well used, but no proper locker-shower rooms,
stage too small, old fashioned tile floor and court not regulation size. A
physical education class is shown below.

Problems with: water damage, floor systems and stairs, toilets, ventilation,
decay and decomposition, roofing, windows, moisture
A detailed report on the condition of the old school and all the others in the
county] was prepared by W. N. Horner & Associates Ltd., Consulting Professional
Engineers of Truro, N.S. during December 1983 and January 1984 and
presented to their clients, the Lunenburg County District School Board. The
purpose of the Report On Building Condition And Replacement Cost Appraisal,
was to produce:
1. an organized report on the condition of each building
2. a prioritized repair and maintenance schedule for each building
3. an appraisal of insurance needs for replacement costs of buildings and
equipment
It was extremely thorough: the general comments and major problem areas
for the Old School were:
