young man, whom Jesus loved, him and his mother and Salome,
and Jesus did not receive them.”] But the many other
things about which you wrote both seem to be and are falsifications.
Now the true explanation and that which accords
with the true philosophy... 76
The following text shows that the falsifiers knew the correct
meaning, background and the mystery of Satan. The Children
of Light knew this secret, because the Essene Baptist
taught them how to liberate themselves from from Satan in
order to achieve true freedom. They attained this freedom
through baptism and rebirth. The falsifiers turned the message
around and described the observance of the commandments
of purity and freedom as yielding to servile desires.
And then they alluded fasting, similar to Paul in his letter:
“For, priding themselves in knowledge, as they say, ‘of the
deep things of Satan,’ they do not know that they are casting
themselves away into “the nether world of the darkness” of
falsity, and, boasting that they are free, they have become
slaves of servile desires.”
The plagiarizer admits his own approach: a falsification containing
components from the true doctrine mixed with the
fictitious.
“Now of the things they keep saying about the divinely inspired
Gospel according to Mark, some are altogether falsifications,
and others, even if they contain some true elements,
are nevertheless not reported truly. For the true things being
