the angel of water shall cast out of your body all uncleannesses
which defiled it outside and within. And all unclean
and evil-smelling things shall flow out of you, even as the
uncleannesses of garments washed in water flow away and
are lost in the stream of the river. 36
Because, in accordance with the fiction of grace, baptism
became an exclusively symbolic act, the plagiarists also selected
words from the true sermon: “getting into the water,
illness, recovery, water, angels, the sick, the movement of
the angel of water,” and invented a fantastic story we know
under the name:
"The sick man at the Bethesda pond",
"The sick man at the Bethesda pond", where a sick man
has been sitting at the pond (not a spring) for 38 years,
waiting for someone to carry him into the water, because
from from time to time an angel would stir the water, and
the one who would first enter the water would be healed.
“After these things, there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus
went up to Jerusalem. Now in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate,
there is a pool, which is called in Hebrew, “Bethesda”, having
five porches. In these lay a great multitude of those who
were sick, blind, lame, or paralysed, waiting for the moving
of the water; for an angel went down at certain times into
the pool and stirred up the water. Whoever stepped in first
