was changed to became a symbolic action, and the deceivers
used the name which the people had chosen for the presaged
Prophet, the Saviour, (Joshua), and invented a different figure
with the same name, who proclaimed a wholly different
teaching and assumed a different identity, who drank wine,
consumed meat, etc. He allegedly healed the sick through
miracles and raised the dead and otherwise performed many
wonders.
The deceivers exchanged the concept of "virginity" with sexual
abstinence (celibacy) and duped their followers using the
words of figure of Paul concerning celibacy that they were
capable of preserving sexual virginity, a goal that led to the
perversion of the true meaning of virginity, causing a great
deal of distress among priests and clergy, because those persons
were compelled to consider their natural sexual desires,
which they tried to suppress, as spiritual failure. The true
meaning of virginity in the sense of the Essene Baptist, however,
has nothing to do with the exclusion of sexuality between
man and woman, which is a natural necessity and
corresponds to the divine call to "multiply,". It is the attainment
of the original purity through rebirth and observance of
the Divine Commandments, regardless of whether sexuality
ever takes place.
The forgers did not delay spreading the rumor that people
cannot alter their evil nature, that this Jesus, the Son of God,
had come to die for their sins. The Jews were vilified as
those who caused his crucifixion. To prove this, the deceivers
invented many scenarios in which the Jewish authorities
plotted to take Jesus’ life. They also invented a Satan, and a
