The Adventure of Lola the cat
Chapter 1:
You deserve better
Lola is obviously a cat. A female cat.
She does have whiskers and fluffy
white fur that everyone will go nuts
about it, but what human doesn’t
know about her is, she’s a magical
cat from an alternate universe that
travels to our dimension just for one
solid reason, that is to spread kindness
and love. She is a cat in disguise.
Last night, Lola was passing through
a huge bridge above water. There
were many vehicles on the road,
luckily, Lola was walking at the sidewalk
beside the bustling and busy
road. Lola could hear voices
shouting and cursing from the angry
drivers, in their car nearby because
of the long queue that makes them
stuck.
Lola sighed while starring
the commotion that
happened, she
continued walking,
ignoring the noises
and voices of
lunatic people that
don’t know how
to be patient
and reserved.
Lola walked
further and was
surprised to
encounter a young
girl in her 20’s.
The girl sat
on the
bridge barrier, with both of her legs,
hanging low towards the cold water
beneath. She looks upset with tears
swelling in her orbs, her clothes are
a mess, just the same as her messy
bun. Lola was bewildered when she
noticed that the girl didn’t wear any
shoes on. Did the girl just walk
barefoot to the bridge, in the middle
of the night? What was the girl
thinking? Might the girl have gone
mad? Lola sighed and pushed all the
negative assumptions away. Who is
she to judge her, so she took steps
closer towards the girl and read her
mind instead, for a better
understanding.
“I thought you were different, I've
been hurt for my entire life, even by
my close and loves one before, and
foolish me to believe, that fate still
has mercy on my pathetic soul. It
looks like, you're just another
mistake that I hate to admit. This
endless misery destroyed me
entirely. If only destiny was on my
side. I could be the happiest person
alive. Shame on me, that still hoped
for the impossible. I have heard this
one saying ‘The higher you go, the
harder you'll fall’ and I’ve been
wondering what it’s like to jump
from here? Will, it hurt a lot? Will
you regret choosing her rather than
me?...”
Emelda, the girl who caught her
boyfriend cheating with her best
friend, twice, in the worst scenario
that anyone could think off, that was
in her own bedroom and house. Sad,
anger, the feeling of betrayal and
everything piling up in her head. The
urge to end everything had become
the only solution for her own
mistakes, to still trust her
boyfriend’s promises and lies, and
was generous enough to give him a
second chance after what he had
done before.
Lola got right on the action when
she saw Emelda, closing her eyes
and calmly letting her body to fall by
the breezy night wind, by the
moment. Lola fiercely pulled
Emelda’s long cardigan, preventing
her from falling.
Emelda felt weird and decided to
open her eyes again, just to see a
cute and fluffy cat pulling her
cardigan.
“It looks like, that you’re the only
living thing that want me to live.”
Emelda chuckled and cancelled her
intentions just now. She got down
