In product development, we focused on expanding the range of application for
MOVITRANS, our system for contactless power and data transmission. In the coming
months, we will adapt all our floor and overhead conveyors to MOVITRANS to distinguish
ourselves technologically even more from the competition.

Production technology for aircraft construction
We further expanded our activities in aircraft construction. For example, we delivered
to the Airbus plant in Stade, Germany, a major part of the assembly line for the tail
fin of the A380. At the Airbus plant in Broughton, Great Britain, we put into operation
a paint shop for wings as well as a complete assembly line for wing components.
Dürr technology is also being used to produce the new A400M, for which Airbus ordered
a complete line for the production of the rudder units and assembly equipment for
the production of the wing skins.
Relocating parts of the value chain
One way in which we are dealing with high cost pressure is to shift parts of the value
chain to our Polish subsidiary Dürrpol. We have already finished setting up the design
and assembly of skid conveyors there. We are preparing to transfer further steps in
the value chain to Poland and are pursuing similar concepts for the North American
and Asian markets.
