DAY 1 hawes
Our journey takes us into the scenic
Yorkshire Dales and a lunch stop in the
beautiful town of Hawes. We continue to
the Newby Bridge Hotel, situated just a 2
minute walk from the lakeside. Time to
settle in before dinner is served in the
Restaurant.
DAY 2 TRAIN/STEAMER
Our scenic day begins with a steam train
journey from Haverthwaite station
through to Lakeside. Here we board our
Steamer to cross to the lakeside resort of
Bowness on Windermere. Free time in
this picturesque setting to enjoy lunch
and sightseeing.

DAY 3 RAVENGLASS/MUNCASTER
A hearty breakfast before we make our
way to Ravenglass, to board its 15” gauge
heritage railway. This little train runs for 7
miles along the coast to the top of the
valley enjoying magnificent views. We
then head to Muncaster Castle - This
historic haunted castle, still a lived in
family home is the jewel in the crown of
the Lake District.
DAY 4 ullswater
Enjoy the scenic splendour today of
Ullswater. We travel via Ambleside to
board our cruise at Glenridding. Many
consider Ullswater to be the hidden gem
of the Lake District and the most beautiful
of the English Lakes. Our day completes
with a visit to Keswick encircled by cloudcapped
fells and nestled alongside the
idyllic, island-studded lake of
Derwentwater.
DAY 5 MORECAMBE
Sadly, we bid farewell to this picturesque
location. We enjoy a stop in the seaside
resort of Morecambe before continuing
back home.
