DAY 1 CHARTWELL HOUSE
Our journey takes us today to Chartwell
House, the much loved Churchill family
home. Sir Winston reluctantly left in 1964
due to poor health. ‘A day away from
Chartwell is a day wasted’ – Sir Winston
Churchill. We check into our Folkestone
hotel late afternoon.
DAY 2 CANTERBURY CATHEDRAL
We visit Canterbury Cathedral which
houses the shrine of Archbishop Thomas
Beckett – we include a Guided Visit. The
remainder of the day is free to discover
the cobbled streets and hidden gems of
‘Canterbury’s Tales’.

hospital!
DAY 4 LEEDS CASTLE
‘The Loveliest Castle in the World’. Home
to six of England’s medieval Queen’s – set
on two Islands on a magnificent Lake.
Leeds Castle was built during the Norman
Invasion and embellished over a period of
800 years – Don’t miss this one!
DAY 5
Today we bid farewell to Folkestone and
retrace our steps back home.
