DAY 1
We head to Babbacombe to arrive at our
accommodation early afternoon. Situated
on the beautiful English Riviera,
Babbacombe is a stunning coastal resort
on the edge of Torquay. The
Babbacombe Hotel enjoys stunning views
across Lyme Bay
DAY 2 TOTNES/SOUTH DEVON
RAILWAY
This morning after breakfast, we head to
the charming town of Totnes. After free
time in this delightful town, we board the
South Devon Railway and ride the 7 miles
journey along the stunning river Dart to
Buckfastleigh. Here we have the chance
to visit the Abbey Church in the grounds
of this working monastery, nestled in the
shadow of Dartmoor.

DAY 3 day at leisure
Today is free to enjoy all the delights of
Babbacombe. You will find independent
shops, cosy tearooms and many
attractions including the Babbacombe
Model Village, Bygones Byones Victorian Museum
and its Cliff Top Railway. This evening
there is the opportunity to enjoy the local
entertainment at the Babbacombe
Theatre (Optional).
DAY 4 brixham
This morning we head to the picturesque
fishing port of Brixham, which revolves
around a busy harbour, lined with pubs
and cafes serving the fishermen’s daily
catch. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon in
Babbacombe.
DAY 5 COLETON FISHACRE
This morning, after breakfast, we head to
Coleton Fishacre. Travel back in time to
the Jazz Age at the holiday home of the
D’Oyly Carte family. You can lose yourself
in the magical 30-acre gardens. This most
evocative house is imbued with 1920’s
elegance. A light, joyful atmosphere fills
the rooms and music plays, echoeing echoing the
family’s Gilbert and Sullivan connections.
Pathways wend through the woods to
enjoy the magnificent vista of the
Coastline.
DAY 6 TEIGNMOUTH/Dawlish
After breakfast, join us to Teignmouth. A
real hidden gem, originally a small fishing
port. In the afternoon, we visit
picturesque Dawlish – one of the UK’s
finest beach resorts, recognisable by its
distinctive sand dunes. A little piece of
Devon all to yourself.
DAY 7 TIVERTON CANAL CRUISE
This morning we make our way to
Tiverton for our cruise along the Grand
Western Canal, aboard one of the last
horse drawn barges. Then Weits return on to the
to
Jurassic Babbacombe Coast early to visit afternoon. Exmouth, Devon’s
oldest seaside resort.
DAY 8

Babbacombe.
