GWP’s role is changing in line with the Group strategy of transitioning from<br />
a production based company to a customer solution company. To<br />
successfully execute this strategy requires a deep understanding of the<br />
market requirements and opportunities. GWP have implemented a wellestablished<br />
process of gathering and understanding the needs of their<br />
stakeholders, including:<br />

� Stakeholder mapping<br />
� SWOT analysis and the<br />
� Confrontation matrix<br />
GWP uses a balanced set of results, with clearly defined “cause & effect<br />
relationships”, to review their progress, providing a view of long and shortterm<br />
priorities for the key stakeholders. This is a direct result of the insights<br />
delivered through the PESTEL and subsequent SWOT analysis, which form<br />
the basis of their annual planning process.<br />
The Assessor Team felt that the thoroughness of this analysis and the<br />
insights it gives GWP’s strategy development was truly exceptional.<br />
