� First TransPennine Express
FTPE received 5* accreditation in November 2010. FTPE were the first UK Train Operator to
be awarded 5* R4E by the BQF and are also the first organisation to gain this through the
BQF's partnership with North of England Excellence (NoEE).
� Glasgow Housing Association
As one of the UK’s biggest social landlords, GHA has around 45,000 tenants and looks after
26,500 factored homeowners through its factoring Arm Your Place. GHA’s passion is to deliver
modern, customer-focused serviced that meet the needs of current and future customers.
� Humberside Probation Trust
Humberside Probation gained 5* accreditation earlier this year and demonstrated significant
improvements on their 2008/9 application when they achieved 4 stars.
� Leicestershire and Rutland Probation Trust
Leicestershire & Rutland Probation Trust achieved 5 stars R4E in May 2011. The Trust
demonstrated significant performance improvements since its previous application in
December 2007 which resulted in 4 stars. The Trust is funded by the National Offender
Management Service (NOMS), an executive agency of the Ministry of Justice that brings
together the headquarters of the Probation Service and HM Prison Service to enable more
effective delivery of services.
� Merseyside Probation Trust
The Probation Service supervises adult offenders who have been given a Community Order by
the courts, or who have been released on licence from prison. The Merseyside Probation
Trust is part of the National Offender Management Service, which in turn is part of the
Ministry of Justice. It employs around 700 staff in over 30 locations across the county, and its
head is Chief Executive Officer John Stafford.
� Northern Rail
Northern Rail achieved 5* accreditation in January 2011. They run trains across north of
England, calling at over 500 stations and serve a population of nearly 15m.
� Specialist Schools and Academies Trust
SSAT is an independent, not-for-profit membership organisation dedicated to raising levels of
achievement in secondary education. It achieved the highest Recognised for Excellence (R4E)
5 star score in 2008. In renewing their R4E accreditation in May 2011, they have managed to
not only retain their 5 stars, but also to strengthen their scores in some of the key criteria
against a backdrop of considerable change
� University of Winchester
The University of Winchester was established in 1840, and has around 6,000 students, of
which half are full-time. It is best-known for as a centre for teacher training, and is one of the
largest providers of primary school training in England.
� Virgin Trains
Virgin Trains recently accreditation R4E at 5-star level in June 2011. Part of the Virgin Group,
Virgin Trains operates long-distance passenger services on the West Coast Main Line (WCML)
between London, the West Midlands, North West England, North Wales and Scotland.
� Wakefield & District Housing
Wakefield and District Housing (WDH) is a not-for-profit, non-publicly funded organisation
that is committed to building confident, thriving communities. It is a large single housing
stock transfer organisation with over 31,000 homes in the Wakefield District.
� Wherry Housing Association
Wherry Housing is part of Circle (formerly Circle Anglia) housing group and is a non-profit
making organisation, which means that any 'surpluses' are invested back into new and
existing homes.
