Now Broker-Owner of Realty
Home Advisors, with two offices
and roughly 200 agents under
her leadership in Boca Raton and
Delray Beach, it turns out Eileen’s hunch was
right.
NY: The Early Years
Eileen grew up in Long Island and graduated
from the New York Institute of Technology
with a degree in business administration.
Fresh out of college she worked for an entertainment
company in Manhattan but quickly
grew frustrated by the limited opportunities
for advancement.
Craving a career with greater flexibility and
limitless potential, Eileen also knew she
wanted to raise a family and help others
succeed. Real estate provided the opportunity
to have it all.
Eileen recalls, “I signed up for a real estate
salesperson’s course that same week that I
bought my fourth house and joined Prudential
Long Island Realty (now Douglas Elliman)
after passing the test,” Eileen continues,
“I loved that I could be an entrepreneur and
be in charge of my own destiny. My first year
in the business, 1986, I was “Rookie of the
Year” with 38 closed transactions. Subsequently,
I was also Top Producer of the year.”
The Florida Move
“In 2002, my husband and I moved to Boca
Raton with three young children in tow,” Eileen
continues. “I always stayed active in sales
but my most cherished prize are my three
children, all grown up now.”
Eileen opened Realty Home Advisors in
Boca Raton in 2017 and credits her daily
presence in the office as one of the primary
reasons agents love working at RHA.
“As an owner, I wake up every day feeling
gratitude that I can be there to help my
agents and be their biggest cheerleader. I am
very hands on for a broker and I think the
agents appreciate that personal touch, the
one-onone. I am always there for them 24/7.”
Eileen notes Realty Home Advisors also
offers a growing number of learning opportunities
for agents, veterans and rookies alike,
that really help retention and growth. “We
do business planning, coaching, role playing,
consulting, contract guidance and disputes,”
Eileen explains. “Every Wednesday we have
a team call at 9:30 am where I will pick a
different topic to discuss followed by a Q&A
session afterwards.” Last year, Realty Home
Advisors sales volume was $512 million, and
according to Eileen, 2022 seems to be on a
similar pace with families flocking to the east
coast of Florida from the Northeast. Not one
for the spotlight, Eileen is quick to give credit
to her hard-working team for RHA’s success.
REALTY HOME ADVISORS
Leading with A Personal Touch
“Today is the first day of the rest of your life.”
“I was always fascinated by the real estate market and bought my first house
when I was 25… I actually owned four houses myself by the time I was 28.”
Eileen McNamara Vecchio recalls. “I rented the houses out… and while looking
for investment property, I remember thinking I could be good at this.”
“I couldn’t do this without my amazing
staff… All the right people are in place
and agents often remark how everything is
running like a welloiled machine. We have six
Personal Business Coordinators that manage
the REALTORS® transactions and every
agent is paid within 24 hours of closing.”
When pressed for details as to why she thinks
her agents stick around, Eileen points out
there’s absolutely no red tape at her brokerage.
Eileen says, “I try to listen to my agents
when they express a need and adjust accordingly.
I know my agents also enjoy the fact
that we are an independent brokerage; we can
be flexible when needed without having to go
through layers of management… I can make
the decision right there on the spot.”
When Eileen isn’t at her desk, she enjoys
traveling, being in nature and spending time
with her family and three kittens, two of
whom she rescued. Eileen plans to eventually
scale back her time in the office to focus on
her family, but she never plans to stop doing
what she loves – helping others succeed.
With a father who is also a real estate broker,
a son who is a practicing real estate attorney,
and a daughter who is a commercial property
manager, Eileen would not be surprised if one
of her children eventually took over RHA.
“When they were growing up, my kids heard
me on the phone talking about real estate all
day long because I was doing sales back then,”
Eileen laughs. “So we shall see… but that would
be wonderful if it all works out some day.”
Eileen looks forward to cheerleading from
her broker desk and offers some sage advice
to owners and agents alike: “It’s always
important to have a business plan and to set
goals, have a great attitude and live every day
with a schedule to achieve those goals.”
